The NRC would like to invite you to a training in using cash and vouchers in humanitarian programmes
Objective: Cash and Vouchers are increasingly seen as an important response mechanism in humanitarian and transitional contexts (see the Cash Learning Partnership http://www.cashlearning.org).
The objective of this course will be to provide practical training in assessing,designing, implementing and learning from cash and voucher based programmes in humanitarian assistance.
Target audience: The training is open to all members of NGOs, MFA, and Norad involved in management of humanitarian/transitional projects. Participants should be well experienced in programme design and management and interested in the possibilities of using cash and vouchers.

Please include name of organisation, name of candidate and a short preview of experience and responsibilities. The training is not limited to specific numbers per agency but the overallnumber of participants will be limited to a maximum of 25.
The training is supported by Norad and will be organised in conjunction with aMFA/Norad seminar to discuss the potential for cash and voucher based humanitarian and transitional assistance on the 4th May in Oslo.

Nesten en halv million mennesker har flyktet fra den pågående konflikten i Nord-Mali, og de humanitære behovene øker etter som konflikten trekker ut i tid. I Malis hovedstad Bamako frykter nå én av tre fordrevne å bli kastet på gata fordi de er gått tomme for penger.
32,4 millioner mennesker ble i fjor fordrevet på grunn av katastrofer som ekstremvær, flom og jordskjelv. De fattige rammes hardest, selv om det i fjor var flere internt fordrevne av naturkatastrofer i USA enn i flomutsatte Bangladesh.
